AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) and IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology) are related but not the same. Here are the key differences between the two:

  3. Merging of AIEEE and IIT-JEE: Earlier, IIT-JEE was a separate exam for admission to IITs and AIEEE was for NITs and other engineering colleges. However, in 2013, AIEEE was renamed JEE Main, and IIT-JEE was renamed JEE Advanced to maintain consistency and simplify the examination process.
  4. Examination Structure: AIEEE and JEE Main are structurally the same, and now, AIEEE is a part of the IIT-JEE exam.
